Hi everyone, miss me? haha~

I have spend a wonderful week in Korea last week and come back with an almost overweight luggage. haha, will definitely do a haul video afterwards... but

as it is CNY is almost here, through it will be great to post this recipe about a chinese traditional new year food. Water-chestnut cake!!! Yeah~ Hope you guys enjoy it, let's begin~

See full video here:

Ingredients:
1) Water-chestnut 500 g
2) Water-chestnut powder 250 g
3) Crystal sugar 500 g
4) Water 5 1/2 bowls
5) Vegetable oil, small amount

Tools:
1) 2 Foil Tray 7" x 4"
2) Sifter

Steps:
1) Water-chestnut washed, diced into small pieces
2) Water-chestnut flour mix in with 2 1/2 bowls of water, mix well and sifted away any clumps
3) Boil 3 bowls of water and add crystal sugar, melted then add the fresh water-chestnut and stir well
4) Boiler move away from fire then add water-chestnut flour mixture to the crystal sugar mixture, stir well until it all mixed in
5) Put the mixture inside foil tray with a light wash of vegetable oil on the surface. Use a spoon to flatten the surface of the cake
6) Steam for about 30 minutes
7) Let cool and serve!!!

Fresh water chestnut cake can eat as frozen,
but personally, I think that even taste better when
lightly fried both side until golden ^^
It can keep at the fridge for 3-4 days.

I hope you like this recipe and try it and see if you like it~
I shall see you in my next video... (most likely to be a haul~LoL)
See-ya~ ^^
